"Heinrich Heine" Public Elementary School, Jena
At our school, the child is the focus—learning is fun here! Our top priority is developing learning skills tailored to each child’s individual abilities. We use both proven and innovative teaching methods to instill solid foundational skills in reading, writing, and math. Students work on projects in “learning houses” in mixed-grade groups organized by educational stage.
Classes are supplemented by additional study periods. English instruction begins in first grade.
Through our open after-school program and a wide variety of recreational activities, every child can develop freely. All children are enrolled in our after-school program.
The school is open from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m.; classes begin at 7:45 a.m.
