School hostel "Stern"

The "Stern" school hostel is a school facility of the city of Jena and is located directly in the Jena Forest.

We support pupils' individual, non-formal and informal educational processes.

We focus on the development of social and personal skills as well as methodological and technical skills. The school classes plan and develop their stay together with us. They can choose from a wide range of educational modules or develop new modules together with us.

Possible offers can be selected from the following modules, among others: Forest and adventure education, team training, theater education, city history, crafts (fabric and paper workshop, wood workshop, printing workshop, etc.), nutrition, etc.

Since 2019, we have been developing into a place of learning for democracy and human rights education. We want to increasingly anchor democratic processes in the everyday life of our school camp and make them tangible for the pupils.
