Jena-Göschwitz State Vocational Training Center
The Jena-GöschwitzState Vocational Training Center (SBSZ) is one of the most renowned, modern, and well-equipped schools in the Free State of Thuringia.
The school has earned a particularly strong reputation in the areas of technical upper secondary school, vocational high school, advanced vocational school, and technical college—especially its technical college for optometry, which is the world’s oldest school of its kind. Many of the graduates have gone on to successfully continue their education at a college or university. The SBSZ offers excellent learning conditions across all school types.
The SBSZ Jena-Göschwitz is also an important partner to industry and the skilled trades in dual vocational training. A wide variety of apprenticeship programs are offered in the fields of metalworking, automotive, optics, electrical engineering, chemistry, woodworking, and plumbing, and a high standard of training is ensured in collaboration with the training companies.
