Jena Protestant Elementary School
The Evangelical Elementary School in Jena is an inclusive, privately operated full-day school. Here, school is viewed as a space for children to live, learn, and gain experience, grounded in all aspects of life by a view of humanity derived from biblical and humanistic sources.
In keeping with the guiding principles of the school’s philosophy, the school and after-school care program are dedicated to fostering a love of learning, promoting independence, and supporting the children’s personal development. With its focus on music, the school builds on Thuringia’s rich tradition of church music. All students learn the basics of singing, rhythm, and music notation, as well as elementary instrumental instruction.
