"Joh. Chr. Fr. GutsMuths" State Sports High School with an affiliated general education program
The GutsMuths Sports High School in Jena is dedicated to providing an academic education to students with athletic talent and to fostering their development in track and field, soccer, judo, wrestling, fencing, basketball, archery, and badminton.
The framework at our school places equal emphasis on academic and athletic education. This means: close collaboration between the school and sports programs, coordination of academic and athletic training, housing options in the school’s own boarding facility, individualized academic and athletic career counseling, remedial instruction to address learning gaps, special support for national team members, and homework assistance in the afternoons.
