Mobility ticket for Jenabonus holders from 01.04.2019

Pupils and young people who are not yet 18 years old receive a mobility ticket for free use of public transport in Jena on presentation of a valid Jenabonus and payment of an administration fee of €15.00 per year. Applications can be submitted immediately to the relevant school or school administration.

This administrative fee is due for payment in cash at the school administration office after approval has been granted.

Applications for the 2018/2019 school year (01.04.2019 to 05.07.2019)

The chip card for public transportation in Jena will be issued until the end of the 2018/2019 school year (last day of school) or until the 18th birthday at the latest.

The application must be received by the school administration by 08.03.2019. Only then can the prompt provision of the chip card (valid until 05.07.2019) and the sending of the notification be guaranteed.

Applications for the 2019/2020 school year (06.07.2019 to 17.07.2020)

The mobility ticket, consisting of a school holiday ticket for the summer vacations and a chip card for the school year, will be issued until the end of the 2019/2020 school year (last day of school) or until the 18th birthday at the latest.

The application must be received by the school administration by 03.05.2019. Only then can the school holiday ticket (valid from the first day of the vacation on 06.07.2019) or a chip card (valid from the first day of school on 19.08.2019) be provided and the notification sent.
