• The Stern school hostel is a place of learning that complements the school, where pupils and teachers work on curriculum-related content in the form of project weeks. They learn in an activity-based and interdisciplinary way, with all their senses and increasingly in a self-organized and self-directed manner.
• Teachers are responsible for the preparation, implementation and follow-up of the school camp. Pedagogical staff are also on hand at the school camps to provide methodological handouts and accompany numerous activities

• The Jena Youth Traffic School is a service provided by the Jena school administration, the Jena District Traffic Watch and the Jena Police Inspectorate to ensure that pupils receive the road safety education required by school law.
• The focus here is on both the stationary and outreach work of the local youth traffic school. Specific project examples include bicycle training in primary schools, school crossing guard training and its use, offers for safe school commuting, road user training for various target groups and in-depth prevention work with Jena schools.
