State elementary school "Talschule" Jena
The Talschule is located in an old, renovated building and celebrated its 100th anniversary in 2016. The school has a modern gym and green school grounds with plenty of opportunities to learn and play.
Learning takes place in a maximum of ten age-homogeneous classes. Lessons are varied and include partner and group work, frontal teaching, weekly plans, learning counters, workshop learning and projects.
Grades are given from class 3 onwards. Children with special educational needs and children with a migration background are integrated into the classes. Almost all pupils take advantage of the all-day care and homework supervision offered by the after-school care center. The after-school care center is open until 5 pm.
