State grammar school with special mathematical, scientific and technical classes "Carl-Zeiss-Gymnasium" Jena
As a partially integrated all-day school, our school is dedicated to supporting (highly) talented pupils in the STEM subjects (mathematics, computer science, natural sciences and technology). Additional lessons in the profile subjects, compulsory computer science lessons, divided learning groups in the natural sciences for experimentation, allow for individual support as well as optional compulsory lessons. Various projects and excursions serve to develop the students' personalities. Participation in competitions is expected. There is a boarding school where students can live from the ninth grade onwards. Through the gradual development of scientific working techniques, we develop the ability to study. The school cooperates with the city's scientific institutions.
