"Free Waldorf School" Jena
The Freie Waldorfschule is a comprehensive school with a unique educational philosophy. Children of all backgrounds and with special needs learn together from first grade through graduation, receiving specialized support as needed. The school operates its own after-school care program for students in grades 1 through 6.
The curriculum is tailored to the children’s development and, in addition to the regular school subjects, offers a wide range of practical and artistic activities. English and Russian are taught starting in 1st grade. In the lower grades, there are no grades and no retention. The school is located in a green setting with plenty of opportunities for outdoor activities and is easily accessible by train, bus, or streetcar.
