Registration for class 1 for the 2023/2024 school year

School registration for first graders for the 2023/2024 school year will take place from 02.05.2022 to 10.05.2022.

All first-year pupils whose main place of residence is in Jena and who will start school in 2023 will receive the form required for registration by post at the beginning of April 2022. Registration at the school of choice must then be made by the legal guardian with the required documents by post or by dropping it in the school letterbox. Registration by email is not possible.

Please put the following documents together in an envelope:

• the original school registration form already sent to you
• the completed and signed form "Registration to attend a state primary or community school" (see downloads),
• a copy of the child's birth certificate,
• if applicable, the negative certificate for sole custody and
• if applicable, an informal application for a desired deferral of the school child for medical reasons.
