"Saaletalschule" Public Elementary School, Jena
Our students learn from 7:45 a.m. to 1:05 p.m. in age-homogeneous classes, where children with and without disabilities and students whose native language is not German learn together.
Our mission: We aim to increasingly empower our students to learn, think, and work independently. Through a variety of teaching methods and differentiated instruction, we strive to meet each child’s individual needs.
Through participation in a nationwide reading project (BISS), we support all students in the process of learning to read. Grades are assigned starting in 3rd grade. After-school care begins immediately after classes end. First-grade students are grouped together. In the other grade levels, we operate an open after-school program.
