School registration of first graders for the 2022/2023 school year

School registration for first graders for the 2022/2023 school year will take place from 02.05.2021 to 10.05.2021.

All first-year pupils whose main place of residence is in Jena and who will start school in 2022 will receive the necessary registration form by post at the beginning of April 2021. Due to the pandemic, it is not possible for parents to appear in person at the desired primary or community school, so registration with the required documents can only be made by post or by dropping it in the school letterbox.

Registration by email is not possible. The original school registration form must be submitted to the school of choice!

Please put the following documents together in an envelope:

• the original school registration form already sent to you with the school of choice entered,
• the completed and signed form "Application to attend a state primary or community school" (see Downloads),
• a copy of the child's birth certificate,
• if applicable, the negative certificate for sole custody and
• if applicable, an informal application for a desired deferral of the school child for medical reasons.
