"Schule am Rautal" Public Elementary School, Jena
All children are welcome here. Our school is open from 6:15 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. We focus on mathematics and the natural sciences.
Our school has received the “House of Little Scientists,” “STEM-Friendly School,” and “Bat-Friendly School” awards. We have an in-house curriculum for experiments and teaching methods. English instruction begins in first grade. Students have the opportunity to choose from a wide variety of extracurricular clubs.
We have cooperation agreements with the Carl Zeiss Gymnasium, the Walther Music School, the Lebenswelten Community Foundation, the Ernst Abbe Library, several daycare centers, and sports clubs.
