As the city’s largest science event, the Long Night brings together more than 60 partners. Universities, research institutes, companies and other scientific organisations will open their doors, bringing science to life for visitors of all ages.
What is being researched and developed in Jena, and what has been achieved so far? What innovations are emerging here? And what significance does the ‘City of Light’ hold for science and research far beyond the city limits? Answers to these and many more questions await you on this special evening.
Whether it’s captivating shows, mind-boggling experiments, exciting talks, engaging presentations or exclusive guided tours: the varied programme offers fascinating insights into current research, new discoveries and innovative developments ‘Made in Jena’. There’s also plenty for curious young researchers to discover and try out.
A particular highlight is the opening event at 5.00 pm at the Ernst Abbe University of Applied Sciences, Jena. Under the motto ‘We’re celebrating science!’, the focus is on two anniversaries: 35 years of the Ernst Abbe University of Applied Sciences Jena and the tenth edition of the Long Night of Science. Together, we’re celebrating ideas, discoveries and encounters – and looking ahead to Jena’s scientific future.
