State Community School "Jenaplan School" Jena
The school is an inclusive house of education for all children. The school week begins on Monday at 8 a.m. with the morning circle and ends with the end-of-week celebration on Friday at 1:30 p.m.
As a partially integrated all-day school, pupils are taught from Monday to Thursday until at least 3:25 pm. The after-school care center and the AK Jenaplanpädagogik e. V., which is responsible for the school's youth work, offer numerous after-school clubs.
An important form of teaching is project learning in the mixed-age core groups. Up to year 6, performance is assessed verbally. From Year 7 onwards, performance is also assessed using numerical grades.
