State grammar school "Ernst-Abbe" Jena
We are a general secondary school with a focus on the natural sciences. Our Abbe competition, our participation in the Mathematics, Chemistry and Physics Olympiads and the range of science and technology as well as computer science as optional compulsory subjects demonstrate this orientation.
We are a school with heart and courage. Respectful and friendly interaction with one another is important to us. Regular visits to the theater and concerts as well as excursions, class trips, language trips, student exchanges, ski camps, choir camps and a company internship are all part of school life. For the duration of Year 5 and 6, we offer the music profile wind class.
Lessons continue into the early afternoon. Performance is assessed by grades.
