State sports high school "Joh. Chr. Fr. GutsMuths" with affiliated regular school section
The GutsMuths-Sportgymnasium Jena has the task of educating talented pupils and promoting them in the sports of athletics, soccer, judo, wrestling, fencing, basketball, archery and badminton.
The framework conditions at our school give equal importance to school and sports training. This means: close cooperation between school and sport, coordination of school and sports training, accommodation in the school's own boarding school, individual school and sports career advice, remedial lessons to cover learning deficits, special support for national squads and homework supervision in the afternoon.
